Windows 10: Quickly Change the Monitor’s Refresh Rate – Technipages

When you read the words refresh rate in Windows 10, that means the number of times the image on your display updates. The higher the fresh rate is, the smoother things will look like on your display. So, the next time you’re in the market for a new computer, the higher the refresh rate, the better.

Modify Your Display’s Refresh Rate Manually

One way to refresh your computer’s refresh rate is by right-clicking anywhere on your computer screen and choosing Display Settings.

Once you’re in Display Settings, scroll down to the Multiple Displays section. Click on the Advanced displays settings in blue.

Look for the Refresh Rate section and choose an option from the drop-down menu. If you don’t see this option and only see display information, click on the option that says Display adapter properties for Display one. Under Monitor Settings, click on the drop-down menu for the screen refresh rate and choose one of the available options in the next window.

Final Thoughts

If you’re sure that the display you’re using offers more refresh rate options, but you don’t see them, you can try reinstalling the latest graphic driver—hopefully, that’ll help.
