Want to mount your GPU vertically? Pick one of these PC cases.

PC Cases for Vertical GPUs
Windows Central

The best PC cases differ between people. A chassis you may like the look of may not appeal to someone else, which makes recommending cases a little tricky. We try and recommend cases that smash the fundamentals in each specific category. This collection focuses on the niche of mounting your GPU vertically.

NZXT’s H510i (check our NZXT H510 Elite review) is the company’s mid-tower offering that pairs up smart RGB lighting with efficient airflow, the ability to mount your GPU vertically (with an optional PCIe riser), and looks mightily impressive with the large tempered glass side panel.

The Meshify S2 is all about high airflow with its open layout design and massive fresh front panel. It has a tempered glass panel to show off all the insides (including vertical GPU with an optional riser), and you can cram up to a 420mm radiator up top for excellent thermal performance.

This Thermaltake case is all about its unique viewing angles. Not many cases have a swooping gull-wing-esque window to view everything within the chassis. Should you fancy yourself a case to really turn heads, the View 37 is about as good as you can get, especially if you mount your GPU vertically.

On the topic of windows, how does four tempered glass panels sound? Because that’s precisely what the View 71 offers. You’ve got a clear view into the main chassis, as well as the rear of the motherboard tray. To complete the look, you could install your GPU vertically with the included bracket and set up a custom water-cooling loop.

The P500A from Phanteks is a striking case with the imposing front mesh grill. If you want to install and enjoy high-performance components, this is the case to get. Not only does it offer plenty of airflow and internal space for water-cooling loops, but you can also install your GPU vertically.

Thermaltake’s Core series of PC cases offer an open-air experience for builders who want to showcase their hard work by mounting the chassis to the wall. It does attract dust, but you can forgive this for the ability to create quite the compelling PC with an all-out custom water-cooling loop.

Choosing the best PC case for vertical GPUs

Picking the right PC case for using a vertical GPU depends on which one you prefer the look of. In our opinion, the NZXT H510i is a good all-round package with an affordable price tag, smart RGB and fan controller hub, and seriously good cable management. You can fit inside large radiators with room to spare. A brilliant chassis to build a PC inside.

A truly wild design is the Thermaltake View 37 in a nutshell. It’s bonkers with the gull-wing-esque winder, allowing you to view the inside of your PC from not only the side but from above too. It’s possible to mount your GPU vertically too!

If you already have a case you enjoy using but find that it does not offer support for installing the GPU vertically, you can pick up a universal PCIe riser that should do the job so long as you have enough expansion slots.
