Chinese Smartphone maker, Vivo announces its latest new X60 series in China. It is the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro smartphones with 6.56-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, and they are the first Smartphones to be powered by Samsung Exynos 1080 5nm SoC with built-in 5G.
The Vivo X60 and X60 Pro smartphones are already up for pre-order, but they will go on sale starting from January 8th in China. There is an upcoming Vivo X60 Pro+ with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC that’ll arrive in late January 2021.
Both phones come with a 6.56-inch FHD+ HDR10+ E3 AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1080 pixels screen resolution and boasts of 92.7% screen-to-body ratio. The X60 Pro comes with a curved screen display.
There is an in-screen fingerprint sensor scanner and the X60 series features a two-tone gradient design and satin AG technology that not only offers smoothness and exquisiteness, which removes fingerprints
Vivo also mentioned that the X60 is the thinnest 5G mobile phone to date, with a body thickness of only 7.36mm, and weighs 175.6g. While X60 Pro dimension is 158.57 × 73.24 × 7.59mm and weighs 178g.
Both devices arrive with a 32-megapixels camera inside the punch-hole. Around the back of the X60 series is the primary 48-megapixels Zeiss optics lenses with Sony IMX598 f/1.48 aperture with second-generation 4-axis OIS anti-shake feature.
It is supported by a 13-megapixels 120-degree ultrawide unit that doubles as a macro camera being able to focus from just 2.5cm, and there is the 13-megapixels 2x 50mm telephoto lens. While the X60 Pro comes with an extra 8-megapixels f/3.4 5x periscope camera.
However, the Vivo X60 supports 1X, 2X multi-focus motion capture, and the Vivo X60 Pro has 1X, 2X, 5X motion capture. While both device’s cameras come with photo restoration and coloring features.
These phones are powered by a 2.8GHz Octa-Core Exynos 1080 5nm processor with Mali-G78 GPU and run on Android 11 with OriginOS 1.0. The X60 is available in 8GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage options and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage options.
While the X60 Pro is available in a single 12GB RAM with 256GB storage options. Both phones come with USB Type-C Audio, and other connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band), and GLONASS. There also supports Dual SIM.
Battery capacity wise, both phones are different from each other, the Vivo X60 arrives with 4300mAh and the Vivo X60 Pro comes with a 4200mAh battery, and both support 33W fast charging via USB Type-C.
The Vivo X60 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option is priced at 3498 yuan ($535 USD).
8GB RAM + 256GB storage option costs 3798 yuan ($581 USD)
12GB RAM + 256GB storage option goes for 3998 yuan ($612 USD)
While the Vivo X60 Pro single 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option variant is priced at 4498 yuan ($688 USD). These phones are already up for pre-order right now in China.
