One of the many ways that Twitch attempts to encourage viewers to use their streaming service is through free items in a range of games. Through business deals with other companies, Twitch is able to offer deals to give you free things. You can claim these free items by connecting your Twitch account to the relevant third-party account.
For certain items, you may need to make multiple connections. For example, to get free Twitch subscription emotes in Discord, you need to connect your Amazon Prime account to Twitch, then subscribe using the free Twitch Prime subscription to a supported channel with emotes that you want, then connect your Twitch account to your Discord account. After a short processing delay, you’ll be able to use the Twitch emotes in any Discord channel.
Tip: You will also need to join the streamers Discord server for the Twitch emotes to work in Discord.
Most unlocks, including in-game items, need to be explicitly claimed in Twitch after you’ve connected the relevant accounts. To be able to do so, you need to click on the “Prime Loot” button with the crown icon in the top-right. Scroll through the list of games and items, and click “Learn More” on the ones you’re interested in.
2Click on the “Prime Loot” button to see the available offers.Clicking “Learn More” will take you to a new page, where you can generally click “Claim now” or a button to a similar effect to claim your items. If the relevant accounts are connected, then the item will unlock straight away. If you don’t have the right accounts linked then you will be prompted to connect the accounts, and then returned to the claim item screen once you’re ready to continue.
Tip: You may need to restart your game for your newly claimed items to be available, although this varies between games.
