Cyberpunk 2077 has had a rough existence, to put it lightly, after being released in an unfinished state filled with bugs. Since its launch, the team behind Cyberpunk 2077 at CD Projekt RED has been releasing patch after patch to begin fixing these issues. Today, Cyberpunk 2077 players on PC will see the 1.12 hotfix update. This is a very focused update that does little more than resolve a couple of issues related to a major vulnerability in Cyberpunk 2077, which could’ve allowed for remote code executions.
The Cyberpunk 2077 1.12 hotfix update changelog includes:
- Addresses the vulnerability that could be used as part of remote code execution (including save files):
- Fixed a buffer overrun issue
- Removed / replaced non-ASLR DLLs
This is a small, but wildly important, update, so be sure to install it as soon as it becomes available on your PC. Other platforms may not get this update because of how specific it is. Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.11 hotfix update was the last patch the game saw on all platforms and resolved a specific issue introduced in the update before that. The team is planning a significant update sometime this month, which promises to fix the most prominent problems plaguing the game, especially on base last-gen consoles.
