  • Even though is restricted for certain regions and countries, a VPN can fix that.
  • However, if your VPN is not working, you won’t be able to stream baseball games on
  • The same applies to accessing other geo-restricted online streaming services.
  • If you want to watch but your VPN doesn’t work, our guide can teach you how to fix it.

VPN not working with

Major League Baseball is one of the most popular sports competitions in the States at the moment.

Besides the cheering from the stands, enthusiastic fans use an online platform provided by the league itself to watch live streams of the games.

However, even though these games on-demand require a subscription, you still won’t be able to watch certain games if they’re covered by the sponsored cable/TV providers in certain regions.

That’s when a VPN comes in handy. But, sadly, there are some serious issues with VPN and working together.

In order to address this, we provided a few solutions that should, hopefully, help you watch the blackout-affected games with the VPN without issues.

How can I fix VPN issues with MLB.TV in Windows 10?

1. Enjoy an alternative VPN solution

get Private Internet Access

There’s one thing that we can’t stress out enough about and that’s the compatibility and overall usability of diverse VPN solutions.

Most of the VPN tools, both free and paid, will hide your IP address and let you overcome the blackout blockage of

However, none of those free-of-charge tools is reliable for streaming purposes. Use Private Internet Access to watch all season and playoff games and you won’t regret it.

You’ll do so with the highest bandwidth speeds, low latency, hundreds of USA-based servers at your disposal, and unquestionable privacy.

After all, this VPN is owned by Kape Technologies, a global security company.

2. Make sure time and date are properly set to reflect the VPN’s server

  1. Press Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
  2. Select Time & Language.vpn not working with
  3. Select Date & Time from the left pane.
  4. Disable both Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically.vpn not working with
  5. Select Timezone and choose the time zone of the chosen IP location from the drop-down menu.
  6. Now you can re-enable the Set time automatically option and move from there.

A common reason why VPN won’t function well with the streaming services lies in the discrepancy between the system’s date and time (time zone), and the one which is mimicked by the VPN itself.

Say, you’re in the Pacific Time zone while the VPN’s IP address is positioned in the Central Time zone. The online streaming services, like, can turn that against you.

If you want to watch Los Angeles Angels at home, you’ll need to change your time in that way that it resembles a time of the non-blackout-affected city.

If you’re not sure how to do it in Windows 10, make sure to follow the steps we provided above.

3. Disable location services

  1. Right-click Start and open Settings.
  2. Choose Privacy.vpn not working with
  3. Under the left pane, select Location.
  4. Toggle Off Location service.vpn not working with
  5. Close Settings and try accessing again.

Due to mandatory location access, Android and iOS users are unable to overcome the blackout. However, that’s not the case with the PC and Mac users.

By default, no application (in this exact case, a browser that you use to access should be able to pinpoint your location. Of course, it can do so by following your IP address, but that’s where the VPN comes into play.

However, if you have, for some reason, enabled Location services and allowed your browser to track your location with GPS, we recommend disabling it.

This isn’t exactly a common case as the aforementioned one, but it won’t cost you a thing and it can certainly help eliminate potential causes for VPN/ misdemeanor.

If you’re not sure how to disable location services in Windows 10, the instructions above should come in handy.

4. Clear browser’s cache

  1. Open Chrome and press Ctrl + Shift + Delete to access the Clear browsing data menu.
  2. Check the Cached images and files box.
  3. Click on the Clear Data button.vpn not working with
  4. Close Chrome, re-enable VPN and reconnect to again.

If you’ve registered to and used to watch your favorite team before using a VPN, then make sure to clean all your browsing history. With the special emphasis on cookies.

Cookies are collected by the website and can be used to track your data and, allegedly, improve your experience. They’re there to preserve your on-site made changes and preferences.

However, they also, as you might assume on your own, connect your account to an IP address you’ve used to create the account in the first place.

Therefore, we need to get rid of the cookies in the browser of choice and after that start VPN. Once you sign in again, you should be able to watch MLB matches without any geo-restrictions whatsoever.

Since Chrome is the most-used web browser, we’ve shown you how to clear browsing history in Chrome.

5. Reinstall VPN and whitelist it in Firewall

  1. In the Windows Search bar, type Control and open Control Panel from the list of results.
  2. From the Category view, click Uninstall a program under Programs.
  3. Right-click on your VPN solution and Uninstall it.
  4. Use IObit Uninstaller Pro (suggested) or any other third-party uninstaller to clean all remaining files and registry entries the VPN has made.
  5. Restart your PC.
  6. Download the latest version of the VPN and install it.

Even though it’s a specialized application, VPN is an application nonetheless. It comes with the desktop client and it can get corrupted or affected by virus infection.

Also, another problem might lie in the outdated software version, so frequent updating the VPN client might address possible performance issues.

The best solution to cover everything is to reinstall the VPN of choice and look for changes. Follow the above steps to reinstall and reconfigure VPN in Windows 10.

Other viable things you should inspect are firewall blockage (either Windows Firewall or third-party firewall) and ISP-imposed limitations.

For the latter, we advise you to either look up online for your router preferences and make sure the VPN you use can communicate in a seamless manner.

For the former, firewall blockage, we recommend whitelisting the VPN and it’s related subsidiary services. A lot of third-party antivirus solutions come with firewall protection.

If you’re keen to use it above the Windows Firewall, make sure that it doesn’t block the VPN.

That should wrap it up. In case you have alternative solutions you deem important highlighting or a question regarding the ones we enlisted, feel free to tell us in the comments section below.
