Redmi 9 Power has launched in India as Xiaomi’s newest budget device. This smartphone features quad rear cameras and has the latest MIUI 12 software. It also has the Snapdragon 662 SoC under the hood and brings 128GB of onboard storage. This device seems like a tweaked version of the Redmi Note 9 4G which launched in China last month.
The Redmi 9 Power launched with the Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 on top and is built around a 6.53-inch HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) Dot Drop display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This smartphone has the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC under the hood, which is hooked to 4GB RAM and offers 64/128GB storage options (expandable via microSD to 512GB).
In the camera department, a quad rear camera with a 48MP snapper is assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, an 8MP sensor takes care of selfies and video calls.
The Redmi 9 Power launched with a massive 6,000mAh battery which offers 18W fast charging and reverse wired charging support, keeping this device powered all day. This smartphone is available in Blazing Blue, Electric Green, Mighty Black, and Fiery Red color options. It has two storage variants which are available at different price points, with the 4GB+64GB model costing $150 and the 4GB+128GB selling for $163.
