Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the most impressive games of the Xbox One / PS4 generation and featured ludicrous amounts of detail and gorgeous graphics. The game also has its Red Dead Online, which is included in the base game, that takes the Red Dead Redemption 2 world online with a variety of multiplayer game modes, missions, and more. For players who want to play Red Dead Online, but don’t want to pay for the full single-player experience, Rockstar Games has you covered.
Starting December 1, 2020, Red Dead Online will be available as a standalone game, separate from the full Red Dead Redemption 2 experience. Players will be able to play everything Red Dead Online has to offer, complete with all future updates, just like with the base game, but won’t be paying full cost for the privilege. Players will have the option of buying Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode (the single-player content) as an in-game purchase through Red Dead Online if they want.
If you’re interested, Red Dead Online will be available on the Microsoft Store, Playstation Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store, and Steam for an introductory price of $5, which will last until February 15, 2021. After that, Red Dead Online will be available at its full price of $20, which is still a third of the usual cost of the base game. That being said, the full Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently on sale for over half off due to a Black Friday, making this the best time to buy if you’re interested in the best western game around.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is an incredible looking game and needs a seriously fantastic TV to push itself to the max. Consider one of the Best 4K TVs for Xbox Series X|S to get the most out of your console in every game, or one of the Best Black Friday 4K TV Deals if you want to save some money on an awesome TV.
