Throughout 2020 NVIDIA pushed out regular updates to its GeForce Now platform and game library and that won’t be slowing down through 2021. Players can expect updates every week on the newly branded “GFN Thursday.” And there’s a good reason for updates being issued on a Thursday, too.
“Since we launched GeForce NOW nearly a year ago, we found that many of our most played games either launched or released major season updates on Thursdays — and we aim to support these launches as soon after their release as possible. We focus a ton of effort into supporting these content releases on Thursday, with updates rolling out to members across all our data centers, in all of our regions.”
Epic Games is one of the bigger names, with weekly free titles offered through its store that in the past NVIDIA has worked to get into GeForce Now. And instead of just getting a weekly trickle, the first Thursday of each month will feature a big announcement of games that players can expect to see added to the library over the next few weeks. But there will always be room for surprise additions, like the late notice arrival of Hitman 3.
The first GFN Thursday of 2021 sees new horror title, The Medium, joining the GeForce Now library at launch with both RTX ray tracing and DLSS enabled. Anyone on any supported machine can play The Medium looking its absolute best without the need for a monster graphics card.
Also joining is the Immortals: Fenyx Rising demo from Ubisoft, in addition to the game’s newest DLC. The full list of titles being added are as follows:

- Beholder (Steam)
- Caves of Qud (Steam)
- Dyson Sphere Program (Steam)

- Gods Will Fall (launching Friday on Steam, Epic Games Store)
Since the next GFN Thursday will be the first one of February, expect to see the first instalment of the big monthly previews.
