MSI launches curved gaming monitor with AI tech

MSI’s MPG Artymis 343CQR gaming monitor is now available for purchase. The 34-inch curved gaming monitor has a curvature of 1000R and supports several AI features, including night vision, smart brightness, and a noise-reducing built-in microphone. The MPG Artymis 343CQR is available now for $900 from Amazon, Newegg, and MSI. The Amazon listing has the wrong images at the time of publication, so it’s worth double-checking before ordering.

The monitor’s 1000R curvature is designed to match the natural curve of the human eye. As a result, people should have less eyestrain, according to MSI. The monitor has a resolution of 3440 x 1440, a response time of 1ms, and a refresh rate of 165Hz. It also supports HDR400, which MSI highlights can fully utilize the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 Series of GPUs.

The MPG Artymis 343CQR’s AI features should also help deliver good visuals. With the Gaming OSD App, you can control the monitor’s display under a software window. You can customize the display for different pieces of software and the Gaming OSD app will automatically apply those settings when you start up an app.

A unique feature of this monitor is OptixScope, which is MSI’s own aiming magnifier. The feature has eight-stage zooming and programmable shortcut keys for switching magnification. It automatically reduces the DPI of your mouse at higher magnifications as well, so you shouldn’t end up with an awkward cursor.

You should be able to see more details in dark parts of games as well, thanks to the monitor’s night vision AI. The feature should brighten dark areas without overexposing them.

The monitor’s built-in microphones feature AI noise reduction, which should help gamers communicate without distraction.

The MPG Artymis 343CQR is built for next-gen consoles as well as PC gaming. It automatically accepts 4K signals and HDR.

MSI first announced this monitor at CES 2021, but it became available this week.
