MLB The Show 21 is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. Developed by Sony San Diego, a part of Sony Worldwide Studios, this is the first game under the PlayStation Studios branding to be published on a non-PlayStation platform. It supports full cross-platform play and cross-progression; you’ll be able to play with your friends no matter their platform choice and if buy the game for different consoles, all your progress carries over with no issue.
It’s worth noting that there’s no upgrade path, so if you buy the game on PS4 or Xbox One, you can’t upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version. MLB The Show 21 is set to be released on April 20, 2021.
