Some users prefer using Microsoft Money Plus over other solutions, and since this is an older software, some issues are going to happen.
The common problem with Microsoft Money Plus on Windows 10 is that it requires Internet Explorer 6 to run.
Don’t worry, you won’t need to install Internet Explorer 6, this is just an error that occurs because Money Plus relies on Internet Explorer, and it checks the registry for it.
Fortunately for you, you can fix this problem simply by modifying your registry. The process is simpler than it seems, and you should be able to do it by following our instructions closely. So without further ado, let’s get started.
How can I solve the issues with Microsoft Money in Windows 10?
Change the registry values for Internet Explorer
- Search for regedit, right-click it, and choose Run as administrator.
- On the left side you need to navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeMicrosoftInternet Explorer
if you’re on 64-bit version of Windows.
(If you’re using 32-bit version go to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftInternet Explorer)
- In the right pane you need to find Version registry value
Modify its value from 9.11.10240.16384 to 9.11.10240.1638. - After doing that, close the Registry Editor.
That’s it, just save the changes and you’re good to go. As you can see this is just a minor registry error, and by changing it Microsoft Money Plus should be working without any problems on Windows 10 now.
