Update 3/15/2021 6:10 PM ET: Microsoft has successfully rolled out an update that fixed the issues and as a result, outages and other issues have largely been resolved. Any issues that resist will likely be resolved shortly.
A recent Microsoft Azure outage took down several Microsoft services, including Microsoft Teams, Xbox Live, and Office 365. The issue affected users worldwide and prevented users from accessing most of the functions of these services.
After fully investigating the issue, Microsoft was able to roll out an update that fixed the issues and has successfully reduced Microsoft service error rates. Any issues that persist should be resolved shortly. It’s awesome to see the problem taken care of relatively quickly considering how important these services are to many workflows and recreational activities.
If you don’t use it already, we highly recommend subscribing to the Office 365 (also known as Microsoft 365) service, as it gives you access to a full suite of powerful productivity apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. It also includes awesome enhancements to services like the Microsoft Edge web browser and Microsoft Teams.
