Make Your WhatsApp Business Products & Catalog Known to the World post thumbnail

We all love it when a customer asks us about our products, services or catalog. This shows that they are interested in what we have to offer and thus are more likely to buy.

But with the ever-growing competition, waiting for potential customers to indicate their interest, might not be a wise course of action. Hence, telling them what you have to offer them will save your customer much stress and time. But how can you do this on WhatsApp?

WhatsApp Products and Catalog Sharing

If you are a business using the WhatsApp Business app, you not only have the ability of creating a catalog to display all your products and services, you also have an option for sharing these products or catalog to WhatsApp groups, individual chats, or other platforms online such as your business website.

Sound amazing, right? Yes, it is.

In this article, I am going to walk you through the process of sharing your products and catalog, so that not only those that have saved your business WhatsApp contact on their smartphone will have access to it.

There are basically 2 ways you can use to share either your products or catalog to others. This is either through Chat or through the Catalog Manager.

How to share your Catalog to Group or Individual Chat

Open the Individual or Group Chat you want to share to.

Next, tap on the Attachment icon, and select Catalog.

Finally, tap on Send all items at the top.

How to Share your Products to Individual or Group Chat.

Open the Individual or Group Chat you want to share to.

Next, tap on the Attachment icon, and select Catalog.

Finally, Select all the products or services you want to share and then, tap on Send.

Share your Catalog with Catalog Manager

As mentioned above, when you use Chat to share your catalog, you can only share the top listed products in the catalog. However, sharing the entire catalog is possible if you use the Catalog Manager. Here are the steps to follow:

Open the Business Tools in WhatsApp. You do this by:
Tapping on the Settings tab and then the Business Tools option, if you are using iOS device.
Tap on the More Options icon, then tap on Business Tools from the menu, if you use WhatsApp on Android device.

In the Business Tools page, tap on Catalog. The Catalog Manager will appear, displaying all your items.

Tap on the Link icon on the top-right to reveal the catalog sharing options. The Catalog sharing options are:

  • Send link via WhatsApp Business: Use this option if you want to share the entire catalog link to other WhatsApp users.
  • Copy Link: This option copies the Catalog link to your device Clipboard.
  • Share Link: Use this option to share the catalog over email or other social applications.

Share your Products or Services with Catalog Manager

Unlike sharing in Chat that allows you to share multiple products or services from the catalog at once, with the Catalog Manager, you are restricted to sharing one at a time. However, you have more sharing options. So here is how to use the Catalog Manager to make your products and services public.

Open WhatsApp Business Tools in WhatsApp. You do this by:
Tapping on the Settings tab and then the Business Tools option, if you using iOS device.
Tap on the More Options icon, then tap on Business Tools from the menu, if you use WhatsApp on Android device.

In the Business Tools page, tap on Catalog. The Catalog Manager will appear, displaying all your items.

Now, select the item you want to share and, tap on the Link icon on the top-right to reveal the Product sharing options. The Product sharing options are:

  • Send link via WhatsApp Business: Use this option if you want to share the link of the product you selected to other WhatsApp users.
  • Copy Link: This option copies the Product link to your device Clipboard.
  • Share Link: Use this option to share the item via email or other social applications.

Item and Catalog Links

The link to your Catalog and its Items are automatically generated, so you do not have any control over how the link should be structured.

This does not mean that you cannot shorten the link using URL Shorten service such as Bitly to shorten the link before you share it. However, to be able to shorten the link, you need to use the Copy Link option from the Catalog Manager.
