With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that Instagram’s AR features have been especially useful in this regard. The social media platform is taking these AR lenses to a whole new level by partnering up with major cultural institutions such as the Smithsonian Museum, Versailles and Le Grand Palais so that people can visit them in AR form and see some of the exhibits that are currently being put up there.
A lot of people are going to be overjoyed about this because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up allowing them to get over their inability to go on vacation this year. It also shows that people can receive a cultural education of sorts without leaving the comfort of their home, and it might even make it so that the future of this whole industry would change with far more people now being able to access these sorts of things than might have been the case otherwise. Instagram has taken a huge step here, and many other platforms like Snapchat are going to be scrambling to keep up.
