Huawei nova 8 SE comes with 5G support and 64MP quad camera


Huawei nova 8 SE announced as the company’s latest Smartphone with QUAD-rear camera setup, 6.53″ FHD+ OLED display, in-screen fingerprint scanner, and it is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 720 and 800U chipset.

The nova 8 SE is the successor to the nova 7 SE that previously released back in April, and the new handset offers an identical design, slim bezels, flat frames, and a squircle-shaped island on the back like the iPhone 12.

It will be available for purchase starting from the 11th of November in China. Where the standard edition costs CNY2,599 ($390) and the high edition goes for CNY2,699 ($410).

Nova 8 SE

The nova 8 SE comes in 7.46mm thick, weighs 178 grams, and arrives in four gradient color options. Around the front is a 6.53″ FHD+ OLED display, supports HDR10, with waterdrop notch, and in-display fingerprint scanner.

Around the back of the device are four cameras placement, 64-megapixels primary camera, supported by an 8-megapixels ultrawide unit sensor, 2-megapixels macro lens, and 2-megapixels depth sensor.

While the front display holds a waterdrop notch display that houses a single 16-megapixels selfie shooter camera sensor. The device comes with support for USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, dual SIM support, and dual-band Wi-Fi.

HUAWEI made the phone available in two major variants, – standard and high edition. There is the nova 8 SE that is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset, and another with Dimensity 800U. Both variants support 5G networks.

But the Standard Edition supports the next-gen network only on the primary SIM, whilst the High Edition offers 5G connectivity on both SIMs. They both runs on Android 10-based EMUI 10.1 out of the box.

Both the Dimensity 720 and Dimensity 800U-powered models of the nova 8 SE comes with 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. They come with a 3,800mAh battery with supports for 66W charging, which promises flat to 60% in 15 minutes and 100% in another 20 minutes.
