When you copy anything. Be it text, image, links, emoji and more. It is first saved to your device clipboard. Then when you hit the paste command (Ctrl + V), the item you copied will be added to the current location of the insertion point.

All Copied Contents?

Yes, in Windows 10, you no longer have to install any third-party application so that you will be able to access your Clipboard History.

Previously as you may already know, the Clipboard hold only the most recent copied contents. What I mean is, you cannot copy contents at different times and expect to paste the content you copied before the last one.

If that is what you want to do (have the ability to copy multiple contents at different times, and them have a choice to select which content you will paste), you will require the help of a third-party app. But Not anymore.

Windows 10 now comes built-in with a Clipboard History functionality.

Also, when you restart your Windows 10 computer, the content you have pinned to the Clipboard History will not be removed.

Nevertheless, pinned contents can be deleted individually, without first unpinning it.
