How to Turn off Skype Autocorrect on Android – Technipages

Autocorrect is a very useful Skype feature. When you want to quickly share your ideas with your contacts, spelling comes second. You’re not really interested in spelling your words correctly, you just want to write your ideas in the chat window as fast as possible. Typos are bound to happen. But this is where Skype Autocorrect comes into the scene. The tool automatically checks and corrects your spelling as you type.

Sometimes, Autocorrect actually makes it harder to communicate. It replaces typos with the wrong words changing your message completely. Or it replaces words that you spelled correctly in the first place. The result is that your sentences have a totally different meaning than the one you initially intended.

Not to mention that if you’re typing in a language other than English, Autocorrect will constantly change your words. This is because it fails to recognize them in its database.
