Among the things that makes you are tech pro is your ability to utilize shortcut keys.
While most of the shortcut key that can be utilized in a Windows 10 computer are already predefined, Windows allows you set your own shortcut key which you can use to launch a application.
So, I am going to outline the steps needed if you wishes to set up a shortcut key for launching a program in a computer using Windows 10.
Locate the program icon on your desktop, right-click on it and click on Properties in the right-click menu.
If the program is not on your desktop, then click on the Start menu button, locate the program in the list of apps, right-click on it, hover your mouse on More and click on the Open file location.
When the folder open, right-click on the app icon and click on Properties.
After the Properties window open, click on the Shortcut tab.
Now type in a letter, number or function key that you want to use as the shortcut code in the Shortcut key box.
When you do, Windows will automatically assign a shortcut key combination with the letter or number that you choose, as shown in the screenshot below.
Finally click the Apply and OK button at the bottom to save the changes.
That’s all. Now you can enjoy the the comfort and feel of using a shortcut key to launch a program.
