How to fix Mshtml.dll not found error [Quick Fix]

So, the mshtml.dll error might appear when using IE browser. However, it can appear when installing or uninstalling different programs. The causes can be malware infection, corrupted registry, or others.

Common error messages related to mshtml.dll error you might see, states that This application failed to start because mshtml.dll was not found, or similar.

2. Undo Changes on your System

3. Restore Mshtml.dll. from the Recycle Bin

  1. Navigate to Recycle Bin and double click on it.
  2. Then, look for Mshtml.dll in the right upper corner.
  3. After you locate it, move it to the following location:

4. Register mshtml.dll manually

  1. Start Command Prompt as administrator.
