Microsoft Edge has been out for close to a year, and it appears to have a popular feature rolling out (via Neowin). Some people now have the option to sync open tabs and browsing history from Microsoft Edge across devices. Twitter user Bart W spotted the feature recently, and others have seen the option for it appear as well. The feature appears to be rolling out gradually to people using the stable version of Microsoft Edge. Some people appear to have the ability to enable the feature, while others just see a grayed out option and a “Coming soon” message.
Microsoft began testing the ability to sync browsing history and open tabs across devices late last year. In November 2020, the feature was available in the Dev and Canary channels of Microsoft Edge. Now, people report that the feature is available for some people with the stable version of Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft also began testing the same functionality for Edge Beta for Android last month.
Since Microsoft launched the new Microsoft Edge, the ability to sync open tabs and browsing history across devices has been a highly-requested feature. With the feature popping up for some people with the stable version of Microsoft Edge, it appears that the feature isn’t that far off.
