HarmonyOS is Set to Push Out Windows From China

In the 2019 Hauwei Developer Conference (HDC 2019) Hauwei unveil HarmonyOS, and according to the roadmap that they released in this conference, this new OS will be cross-platform.

Meaning that HarmonyOS can be seen in all sort of electronic devices such as smart phones, televisions, cars, watches and others.

HarmonyOS for computers

As mentioned above, this new operating system is a cross platform solution and thus will be compatible with computers.

According to the roadmap of HarmonyOS which Hauwei release in the HDC 2019, the ability to use HarmonyOS for PC will be made available in 2020, so we can expect that Hauwei we announce the release of HarmonyOS 2.0 which is will support computers at the Huawei Developer Conference 2020 later this year.

Will HarmonyOS Push Windows and Other Operating Systems out of China?

HarmonyOS is set to dominate the China PC market because according to Huawei Central, “there are several provinces, cities, and regions which are currently cooperating with Hauwei to establish its PC industry supply chain”.

Intel or AMD?

Which processor will computers with the HarmonyOS carry, will it be Intel processors or AMD processors?

Well, back in 2019, Hauwei also unveiled their first desktop motherboard powered by Kunpeng 920 processor. So it is more likely that computers that Hauwei will be making with the HarmonyOS will be based on the Kunpeng processor.
