Google has two services that provides video call capabilities. 1 is Google Meet which is built for businesses and the other Google Duo which is aimed at enabling Google users make personal video calls, which are secure with end-to-end encryption.
Previously, Google Duo does not give its desktop users the ability to create a video call. Only Android and iOS Duo users can create group calls. But group video calls is limited to only 12 participants.
Now, however, this limitation has been increased and 32 people can now join a group call on Google Duo, and also Google Duo users can now host a group video call.
The ability to host a group video call of about 32 participants is still being rolled out, so, some users may not see the Create Group button when they sign into their Duo account.
The ability to create a group video call with about 32 participants will first be made available to Google Duo desktop users via the Chrome browser.
