It’s been a long time since Gateway laptops were a thing, but thanks to a deal with Acer and Walmart, they’re hitting shelves again. This particular collection on sale for Black Friday, available in black, blue, green, and rose gold colors, is regularly priced at $699. However, knocking $270 off brings the price down to just $429.
That’s not a price to dismiss, especially considering the hardware inside. You get a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor (CPU), 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB solid-state drive (SSD). This laptop should easily cut through most productivity work, and the 14.1-inch FHD display is a nice medium between 13- and 15-inch laptops. Not too big, not too small.
A fingerprint reader allows for Windows Hello authentication, and a Kensington lock slot helps keep the laptop where you left it. Ports include USB-C, two USB-A, HDMI, and a microSD card reader, making it easy to connect most accessories.
