- Wait patiently for the process to finish and follow the instructions you are given.
- When done, restart your computer.
Perform the SFC and DISM scans
The SFC scan is a command that will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files with a cached copy that is located in a compressed folder at %WinDir%\System32\dllcache.
The DISM scan on the other hand is a tool that can be used to scan and repair potential issues with the .wim store in Windows that may impact system files.

How to run the SFC and DISM Scan
- Open Command Prompt as administrator as explained above.
- Type in
sfc /scannowand press the Enter button on your keyboard.
