At the Future Games Show, we get another fresh look at Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, the major first-person expansion coming to one of the best sci-fi games around. In the new trailer, players get another look at gameplay in Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, with some informative commentary from a Frontier Developments developer. The trailer revolves mostly around Apex Interstellar, a vital hub for all Elite Dangerous: Odyssey players. You can check out the new trailer below.
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey is almost an entirely new game on top of Elite Dangerous. The expansion will allow players to step outside of their ships for the first time and explore planets on foot. New mechanics, combat, and more will all be present in Elite Dangerous: Odyssey. Fans of this expansive sci-fi game have been waiting for Elite Dangerous: Odyssey for a while already, but there’s still a bit longer to wait.
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey is heading to PC sometime in late Spring, 2021. If you’re excited for Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, Frontier Developments is hosting an Alpha on PC starting March 29, 2021. Console players on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4 will have to wait until Fall of this year to play Elite Dangerous: Odyssey due to a recent delay.
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey is a major release for an already-fantastic game, and should offer a ton of all-new ways for players to explore the vibrant Elite Dangerous universe. While console players will have to wait a good deal longer to jump into Elite Dangerous: Odyssey than PC players, we’re still hoping Elite Dangerous: Odyssey will find a place on our list of best games for Xbox.
