Download Your Own YouTube Videos Using this Methods.

Although YouTube does not allow you to download other people’s video, it does however allows you to download your own videos.

So, if you are a YouTuber and you want to download the videos you have uploaded to YouTube, here are 2 methods you can use to achieve this.

Method 1: Using YouTube Studio

  1. Visit the YouTube website and sign into your account.
    • Click on your Profile picture avatar which is at the top-right, then select YouTube Studio from the menu that will appear.
    • Alternatively, visit YouTube Studio website (https://studio.youtube.com) directly and sign in there.
  2. In the left section of the YouTube Studio page, click on Content. In some rare cases, the option will be called Videos.
  3. After step 2, all the videos you have uploaded to YouTube will appear on the right section.
Just hover your mouse on the video you want to download, click on the Option 3 vertical dots icon and then on the Download from the menu that will appear.

Repeat step 3 over and over again if you want to download more than 1 video.

The down side about this method is that you will not be able to select multiple videos and download them at once. You have to initiate the download individually.

  5. In the next section, you are presented with the following options:
    1. Delivery method. From this option, you can choose to have Google send you a download link for videos. Or you can tell them to automatically upload it to Google Drive, OneDrive or any other cloud storage of your choice for you.
    2. Frequency. With this option, you can choose to have Google export (send you the download link) either once, or every 2 months for the next 1 year.
    3. File type & size. This option allows you to choose if you want to download the video (via .zip or .tgz) and the maximum size of each download.
If all your YouTube videos is larger than the maximum size you chose, your download will be split into multiple files.
  6. When you are through, click on the Create export button to start the process.
